Yet another birthday party

Ok, this one was a bit smaller than usual :)

Furthermore, I did not take pictures of bought bread and the umpteenth cheese platter.

This one is a rather simple carrot cake. No pineapple, no oil or butter. Covered in cream cheese frosting and almond paste. The pandas are from here: http://casabento.com/shop/de/701-bento-picks-panda.html

Been making sushi and other Asian food for some friends. Here are only some of the things I made. Well... my usual problem of forgetting to take pictures...

Among others: kappa maki, sake maki, tekka nigiri, ebi nigiri, tamagoyaki,...

Again, no pictures of the sweets :( But next time there will be. Promise :)

Bird House Birthday Cake

Here are some pictures of a bird house cake I made for a friend's birthday. The cake is almond madeira cake, put together with vanilla butter cream. 

 Oh, and the two things in front of the bird house are supposed to be birds ;)
